The overall process went very smoothly (especially for an industry I don't know well) - I was able to get some money back at closing, lower my monthly payment, and lower my rate. All pain free!

I received little information about upcoming steps in the process after the initial conversation with the loan officer. I was also pushed by Nichole to esign something within hours of her sending notification with the claim that I wouldn't be able to process my loan before the end of the month. I didn't see the "pressing" email until after work, later in the evening and was not able to review the documents. I also had questions; no one was available to walk me through the documents.

Our loan officer, Jesse, was incompetent and slow to respond. Plus, on more than one occasion, we received pdf documents that were inaccurate. The amounts did not match what was in PennyMac's system, and this was extremely frustrating.

I felt as though we were dealing with someone just learning the job, there was a huge lack of information that we should have been told during the process, but we weren't . As a result we had to make numerous calls to ask questions, get clarification and even then we were given incorrect info. And it was from more than one person. Example... we were told we needed a termite inspection but not what form to use, then cone to find out through several phone calls, our state doesn't require it

Very satisfied with the service from Jason and the PennyMac team. From start to finish, Susan first and then Jason were communicative, helpful and accurate. We could not have asked for more.

In spite of being out of state during a lot of the process and in spite of the possibilities for interruptions and confusion due to COVID19 everything happened as advertised and pretty much as scheduled. When my rep wasn't available the other members of the team filled in without a hitch.
