We were told we wouldn't need an appraisal, then we were told we'd need an appraisal but it took several weeks for one to be arranged. Then we were told there was a safety concern raised by the appraisal, and even though I dealt with it immediately and provided evidence it was "corrected" it took several days for an inspection to be requested. It wasn't until I sent an email indicating my frustration at all this that we were finally told no inspection would be needed and we were able to proceed.

It was a nice smooth operation. Communication was there. They worked with me and my busy schedule to meet the deadline of the closing.
I tried several times to speak to the loan officer but he never returned my calls. I had questions regarding my husband's name on the title. Wanted to know if I should do a quit claim deed but he never returned my calls. Also, was trying to find out if he received a pay off letter from one of my creditors but couldnt get thru to him. I think you should provide more lines of communication between the lender and the borrower.
I had an unexpected closing cost because of mistake made on PennyMacs' end with insurance. I was led to believe that there were no closing costs and then asked to bring money to the table a DAY before closing.
