AJ did an excellent job of keeping in touch weekly and answering any questions I had.

John Anding was an outstanding loan officer and provided great service. John was a big part of the reason why I chose to finance my mortgage through PennyMac. John was easy to contact, and had answers to all my questions. Rosario Lopez was also helpful with the closing process. I do however have an issue with PennyMac’s rules of engagement. Hopefully this policy changes in the future.

The online portal was helpful in relaying necessary documents. The refinance team was courteous and informative when responding to any questions and concerns we had. It was very convenient being able to sign off on our loan at our home, after work hours. The only concern we had was that when the closing needed to be postponed, we hadn’t received revised closing information until we initiated contact with the company. However, once that was done, all went smoothly.
Mistakes in calculating closing disclosure more than one time, caused a lot of confusion. Agents not able to answers my questions via email and just get back to me via phone and leave voice messages. Not able to reach directly to my assigned agent, I have to call and be transferred multiple times. Closing cost supposed to be only a month mortgage worth, it ended up higher and we have to ask for some additional credit, I was not told not to stop my old loan auto payment, we did it last minute.
The request for documents is confusing, redundant and frustrating. It is abysmal... The two guys who started my loan were absolutely marvelous... they couldn’t have been more efficient. After I was handed off to my “ PennyMac team” the whole process fell apart to the point I lost all confidence and thought the loan would fail. It didn’t and things worked out but the PennyMac team was not fun. I did request for my two original guys, but to no avail. Thank you for the loan, though. Tj
The whole process was completed with precision and accuracy. We weren’t bothered with mundane requests and Carlton was an absolute delight to deal with. We highly recommend Penny Mac.
