your departments don't communicate well at times leading to extensive phone calls with clients. I have done many refinances and have never had to spend this much time of the phone with the lenders different departments. Things were missed on a repeated basis and I would tell people to steer clear ofpegnny Mac if they are able. Lowest rates shouldn't mean worst service.

Very simple and easy compared to loans I have had.
The final disclosure for closing happened the day before closing, that is fine except our cost to close almost doubled due to an error by PennyMac. There was a deduction calculated that was wrong. We were able to pay the extra cost, but that could have been a huge problem.
The process was so smooth, that I almost felt like we were missing something. Sandi did an amazing job at communicating each step as we went. By far, the best experience we've had!

It took almost 8 weeks to close on this refinance. I did not know that checks would be sent to me to pay creditors which caused delays in getting them paid before another payment was due. I wish they could have been paid via electronic payments and paid on time.
