I am extremely disappointed with my experience as a homeowner with Perry Homes. After purchasing my home, I discovered several serious issues that were not disclosed during the sales process — including improperly sized plumbing and other functional defects that significantly affect daily living. It appears that Perry Homes either ignored or deliberately hid these problems before closing. If you’re considering Perry Homes, beware. Many of us feel misled by what our HOA and water costs would be. We were told our HOA would be ~$155 a month; a number echoed by multiple buyers, though everyone seemed to get a slightly different version. Over the last year, the cost of the HOA and water has skyrocketed to nearly $700 a month. That’s a massive increase, especially for a community that has zero amenities. Bad experience. Everything is 4x more expensive than outside. The selections are awful, unless you go with upgrade level 5. At every point they are trying to get money from you and pressing for time, as if your time is less important than theirs. I canceled the purchase of my home after the visit at the design center. The builder doesn't fully provide information on the finishes and you get trapped at the design center, with awful choices just adding up on your final price. Very bad experience. Design experience and selection is nice, but the prices are 4x the market value. You will spend LESS MONEY is you pick these 'upgrades' out yourself and not through the design center. A sink was $1,740 but retailed for $428. Not worth it.
