I called two or three other moving companies and this company was the most professional. The estimator that they sent out, Diana Oliver, was on time, professional and was just a great representative of the company. She walked through the house with me and appreciated the challenge of my move because I was moving some pieces of furniture from every room but not others. .Things on both ends of the move went very smoothly and efficiently -- from packing up contents of our home into boxes identifying the rooms; to unloading everything in NYS. There were no glitches or surprises. The movers did a fabulous job! We were very pleased!. The movers ( a team of 4) packed up the contents of our house very carefully on one day (80 carefully marked boxes). This was the second time that we have used Perry Moving and the experience was as great this time, 9 years later. Diane provided excellent service in doing a walkthrough of our home and providing a detailed estimate. Since we were downsizing I really appreciated the format of the estimate planthat provide both a summary of the items to be moved as well as a room by room listing. Literally as the truck was pulling away from our new home, I found myself calling the owner of Perry Movers to tell him what a good experience we had. It is true - you get what you pay for. Their pricing was in the middle of the estimates I obtained, but wow - what good service. Both crews (pickup, and then our delivery some weeks later) were professional, friendly, clean, helpful. From start to finish the move was great! We self packed most of our smaller items and the moving company did the rest, 172 itemsin total. During the far move not one item was lost or broken. Chesapeake Bay areato Naples move. 172 items in the move.

The truck and men arrived on time and cleared the house in a timely fashion. At the other end they put some boxes in our finished attic, up some narrow stairs which was a boon. I could not have gotten those boxes up there all by myself. They did what they said they would do and finished ahead of schedule. Furniture was wrapped. Everything we had packed got on one truck. Bed and dining room table were put together in new home. I appreciated their putting down cardboard so the floor would not get scratched.

This was the first time that either my wife or I had moved out of state. Both of us long-time residents of DC, we were relocating to Boston for work and began our search for a moving company via google searches. These proved disappointing as an email address was needed to complete any inquiry and then the address was broadcast to 10+ moving companies who then hounded my email for weeks and this continues until today. We were scheduled to move between 8-9 but the company called the day prior to move the time to between 12-2. Overall, the movers were ok. But when moving one of our sofas, they caught the back of it on a nail and put a hole in it. Our sofa was already in rough shape so one more hole wasn't a big deal to us but they were very careless when they were moving it. Not to mention the movers didn't say anything about what happened. This is the second time we have used Perry movers, and were just as pleased. Unlike the first time, we also had them pack our stuff. Sam came out within a day to give us a price estimate for the move, and an estimate for packing. We decided to do both. The movers came on time on both days. We did not have any problems with either the pack or the move. In fact, the work was completed a little early, and therefore, we paid less than the estimate. I want to say it was a $100-200 less.
