Dr. Ritsema is a truly amazing doctor. He has years of experience but keeps up on all new health research as well as nutrition. Though he is not labeled as a holistic doctor his approach seems to sway in that direction emphasizing the importance of nutrition, healthy habits, and health of the entire person. Doctor not only took time on the issue, but also time to discuss in detail proactive habits to ensure the best possible health, including metabolic health. MY husband recently saw Dr. Ritsema at urgent care and was beyond impressed with his compassion and patience in ensuring we understood his diagnosis and the treatment. For the past 14 years we have used a different pediatrician hospital affiliation. Our insurance changed and we were forced to find a new doc. Dr. Ritsema completely exceeded my expectations. Office and nursing staff were helpful and friendly. Dr. Ritsema was knowledgable and great at communicating on a patient level.
