Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Our first visit was on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. my husband and I shared the full rack of ribs and they were delicious. The cole slaw and fries were also very good. The server brought a taste of one of the draft beers and his suggestion was spot on with what I told him I would like. One friend had a burger that she loved and it did look wonderful. We live within walking distance. This is our favorite place on 16th Street. The food is always excellent and the ambiance is classy and cool.
PCG is good any day at any time no matter what you choose on the menu or from the specials board. The wait staff is so well trained and cordial! It has been a favorite spot for years. Today I just had soup but it was the best I've had in a long time. The out-of-towners I took in all ordered hamburgers and thought they were just great. Best in the 'hood!
The hamburger was outstanding, but the fries were overcooked. The chicken breast had an awesome flavor and I would definitely order either one of these again. A great waiter who needs to be more engaging, but really affable.
We arrived early for our 6PM reservation to take advantage of the 3-6PM happy hour. We ordered a glass of wine each but at $9 per glass it didn't seem like much of a happy hour price! The appetizer however was delicious and good value at just $8. We then moved to the dining room where we received very good service from a young fellow who I think was fairly new there. Always a great experience at PCG! The meals are always good, outstanding service and great value!
Had a very nice table on the side of dining room. The Mule’s were so tasty and the baby back ribs had a perfect, tangy sauce. The short ribs were tender and sweet. Great evening at one of my favorite places.
I've been going here for years. I always look forward to my trips to Phoenix. The food is fantastic and the service is top notch.
Our wait staff was excellent..a bit noisy at our table...good selection from menu..
