Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Brought friends to celebrate anniversary. Excellent service and all dishes were far beyond our expectations. Phoenix City Grille is definitely one of our new favorite places to bring our guests.

Two members of my party ordered the trout and that was all they talked about all night! Glad the fish was good, but it made the conversation a bit two dimensional.
There were 6 of us so we tried all 4 entrees that were offered on the special menu and all of them were excellent.
We have dined many times at PCG and have yet to have a bad experience. We did the prix fixe menu for Arizona Restaurant Week this last visit and it was terrific. All the options we selected were well prepared and delicious! We had the beef short ribs and the pork shoulder, and both were excellent. Customer service, as always, was stellar. From the bartender where we stopped for a drink before dinner, to the hostess that got us the booth we had requested, to the server we had, everyone treated us as special guests.
Great food and wine..huge portions, unique sides the were wonderful. Definitely will go back if in town!!
