About this business

RestaurantsAmerican

This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

We think of PCG as our go-to neighborhood restaurant. Right now the roasted vegetable plate and the short ribs are outstanding. In fact, my vegetarian wife claims the veggies are the best in town. PCG is also a great place to take Mom for brunch. Only problem these days has been their inexperienced wait staff.

We have been dining here regularly for about 12 years and have never been dissatisfied. The food is always tasty and well prepared and the griddled corn cakes are worth a shout out. The port=ion is substantial and it is best shared by 2 unless your main is quite light, and not many are. The ribs are good and the cornbread served with them is 1st rate. Fish dishes are quite good and the new addition to the starters list of smoked pork tacos was delicious. There is also an entree of smoked pork which i expect would be just as ... read more

I love this place, live 20 miles away but go at least once a week.nthe foodie exceptional, great service by seasoned servers and a great values the owner is always there which says a lot and is the reason this place is so fantastic. Every item from the tacos to the burgers are great, get a small plate or a full dinner.

Didn't expect it would be so busy the night before NYE so it was pretty loud and the service was a little slower than usual. Still the good us consistently good and they have added some new items that I'll be back to try.

We arrived early but was seated. Our waiter was nice. And the food was good. It was Christmas Eve so they had a special menu. I did not order from it. We enjoyed the evening. Thank you.

This is another restaurant recommended by a neighbor who has lived here for a long time. She's a true Foodie and was right to suggest the Phoenix City Grille for brunch. The restaurant was perhaps 3/4 full when we arrived, We were seated promptly; water was set on the table immediately. Our server was friendly and polite (she didn't refer to us as 'guys' for example!} I started with a perfect margarita, then enjoyed the Seafood sandwich - shrimp and crab topped scrambled egg with asparagus salsa and hollandaise [which I aske... read more

We went to the Phoenix City Grill on Christmas Eve. My wife had the beef tenderloin and I had the (once a year?) special prime rib. This wasn't just good food - lots of restaurants have good food. This was absolutely delicious. The place was packed but our waitress kept coming by us to keep our drinks topped off (diet cola) and to see if there was anything else we needed. So the food, the service and the ambiance were superb. The price was about $70 for the two of us. With a well deserved tip it was sill under $90. Not a typ... read more
