My wife and I went to the Phoenix City Grill for dinner on Valentine's Day. The restaurant was extremely busy. The food was excellent. My wife loves lamb chops and she was extremely happy with how the lamb chops were prepared. We had very good service even though the restaurant was very busy. There were a number of conversations being carried on around us, however we were able to have a private conversation between us. We will definitely have dinner at the Phoenix City Grill in the future.
I was really surprised how nice the place was considering the location. The area has really changed for the better and this restaurant was a standout. Perfect prices for the quality and quantity of the food. The service was on point even though it was busy. It made for one of the best dinners of our 12th valentines. Overall, awesome!
With a reservation, we were seated promptly. Our server, Katie was wonderful and very attentive.
Phoenix City Grille has become one of our favorite restaurants. We love the happy hour in the bar area, it's a very nice place to meet a couple of friends for dinner, or it's perfect for a romantic dinner for 2 (such as this .. Valentine's Day) The food is always excellent, as is the service. Try the eggplant bites or other appetizers. Phoenix city grille never disappoints, take the wife for Vday and the meals are always excellent, wine list is great and the bread pudding ( first time trying) was a perfect and decadent touch to a perfect dinner!
On this bustling Wednesday evening, this neighborhood gem was a wholesome synergy of happy diners. Have been here before and tonight the short rib choice was so delicious. Our cheerful server checked on us several times. Glass of wine was generous, not skimpy like some places. My friend's dinner, the Rose,Lane Chicken, was just as satisfying and was flavored perfectly. Although the service was a bit slow, it was also Friday night. The bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing. My pasta dish was light and tasty. We will be back.
Could've given a 5 if the rib eye had been marbled, but not fatty. The filet my companion ate would've been preferable. Service is always wonderful.
We made reservations for 11 people last minute on a Friday and our group was handled flawlessly. Excellent food, just different enough to offer something for everyone.
