Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. My 4th time there when in town as it is my aunts favorite restaurant. Food and service always great. Nice options on menu.
The Halibut special was wonderful! The only downside was the noise level.

Phoenix City Grill has been a consistently great place to eat for more than 20 years! Sunday Brunch menu is amazing and the only thing I wish was that they would put their griddle cakes back on the menu!!!

Great consistent American menu in a family atmosphere with fabulous wait staff. THE STEAKBURGER IS THE BEST IN THE VALLEY WITHOUT A DOUBT!!!!!
This is our third time dining here with my family in as many weeks. Every entree has been excellent! From burgers, to sandwiches to all the specials- everything is perfection. And the servers are great too (especially Jonah!) highly highly recommend
We had a wonderful meal last night. The specials of the evening, swordfish and a lemon pasta with seafood were both delicious and our service was excellent.
