This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

Normally, everything is outstanding at Phoenix City Grill! The sides with the corn beef, were superb. The corn beef was mediocre. Have you ever had seen brown corn beef? Simple syrup was requested to go with the iced tea. The simple syrup was added to the tea before it was brought to you and you were not told that you were going to be charged two dollars for it to be added to your tea. Their bread pudding was wonderful, just like always!
I consider this one of the best restaurants in the Phoenix area. I have been a customer for the last 20+ years. I've never had a bad meal, I like the fact that their menu is so varied that you can get an appetizer or a full meal. The food is delicious. The service is excellent and they take reservations.
Very good experience. The place was jumping at 6 pm on a Friday. Seated promptly after the main hostess looked overwhelmed with her head buried in her tablet and no eye contact. sat in a clean but well worn booth. Server was a pro. He was informative and had a warm presence. Took care of my sister and I without being obtrusive. from the steak to the salads, veggies, and house specialty was desert were all very, very good. It sure looked like an older local crowd and waiter said they get tons of regulars. Hats off to PCG and ... read more
PCG is a terrific casual restaurent with very fresh food and a mix of old favorites and new things on the menu. It has a bit of old Phoenix charm and has ample indoor and outdoor dining space as well as a bar and private dining. Highly recommended for an excellent meal in a casual environment. Not too noisy either inside!
My teenage children and I ate at Phoenix City Grille while on vacation. We found it on Yelp and liked the menu! The service was great and incredibly fast, and the food was delicious. We did not quite fit the vibe, though - I think we were the youngest people there by quite a few years. Still, a yummy meal.
I'm gluten free and they have lots of choices! my go-tos are their cornbread, the Bethany chop salad, and Bacon wrapped shrimp.
Chile verde pork appetizer excellent. Flank steak very good choice, and the burgers also very good. Efficient service, casual atmosphere, would definitely come back.
Phoenix City Grill is great! The best salmon in the valley! Love this place!
