Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. OVER 35 YEARS DINING THERE, WE HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL. Menu items are interesting and varied , prepared like there is a real chef, and delicious. the signature cornbread is a must. Nice to have a great meal at a local place.
Delicious as always! I try to get something different every time and the Baja shrimp and pork tenderloin did not disappoint. Fries are simple but delicious & crispy!
Great food, staff, and ambiance! Lunch options are perfect for a quick working lunch!

This has been our go-to restaurant for dinner for some time now. We like it so much, we met friends from out of town here for lunch. We have always enjoyed their wonderful cuisine, but the only disappointment I personally had this time was the serving of my halibut (which I always order there when offered as a special at dinner) was puny.
