I scheduled an appointment to be seen and I even verified that the thing I had going on was checked at this facility. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes before the appointment time. I waited 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen by a provider. The provider spent 5 minutes with me and told me that they couldn’t help me and that I was to go to the ER. Compared to the other immediate care options in town this is my favorite. The facility is clean and welcoming and the staff is friendly. I easily made an appointment online and was seen in less than an hour from making the appointment at home to seeing a nurse in person. I have never requested a specific doctor or nurse. I just get whoever is available and it has always been a good experience.
Be careful if you are someone who does not have a co pay. Their system is not like other places system where you can place a card on file to charge if there is a balance after being submitted to insurance. They charge an estimate upfront and you have to fight for a refund while they give you the run around. Check them out on the BBB website. Also you would think their system would keep track of your insurance coverages if you have been there previously with the same insurance.
Myself and my family visit Physician’s Immediate Care in Algonquin at least once or twice every summer. There have been times that we have had to wait, but most of the time the wait is not too long. I like that they have tablets for easier registration (they used to ask everyone to complete registration on their phones, which was really inconvenient). I had an appointment and was seen on time. Everyone was friendly. The office & room were clean. The doctor was great! She listened to my symptoms/concerns and figured out exactly what the issue was and prescribed the correct meds. Great experience.I did not feel rushed either.
