This school isn't for everyone. It has almost like a cult like following which is why we tried to keep a low profile there. We ultimately pulled our kid who was doing well but it's not what I wanted for them. In kindergarten she learned to be ashamed of her grades which really hurt me to see. It didnt feel right. We LOVE Pineapple Cove Classical Academy! We have three children attending, 1st grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade. The curriculum challenges the scholars and our kids have shown tremendous growth since switching from the public school system.

Have seen some negative comments from a few other parents that came from other schools. The curriculum at PCCA is more challenging than the typical public school so if their child was an A student at whatever public elementary they had been going to prior to PCCA, but they had a difficult time here, maybe consider the more challenging course work rather ignorantly assuming it's the school's fault. 4 years of this school. 2 years of pure hell! This past year was enough. Back to Public school we go. My daughter was a straight A student there however teachers are super strict! They yell, make you walk with your hands behind your back, no talking allowed not even at lunch. They sweep any negligence under the rug and only obey the bps rules when it’s convenient for them. if your child has an IEP or 504 RUN from this school. There is no support. My son was supposed to be pulled out for support in math and reading, it almost never happened. His 504 specifically stated he was to have extra time on quizzes and tests. His teacher wrote on his test paper that she used his Federally Protected additional time as a punishment that she took away when she felt he "wasn't paying attention" during tests.
