They overcharged my Medicare for cleaning and an annual exam of $311. They billed me 1059. for crown work but they billed Medicare 1622. and then billed medicare 214. to fix a filling..! They never gave me a bill for any of this, just the 1059. I didn't think anything of it until I started to see Liberty dental plan explanation of benefits statements. Total Liberty Mutual paid this year to Pleasant Plains dental $2000. is unconscionable and I have to go back to the Endodontist and have teeth cleaning this year with no money... read more

I had crown work done and the amount for the entire treatment was $1059. signed and witnessed contract. My dental benefit through Liberty Mutual paid Pleasant plains dental $1622.It states right on the pleasant plains dental treatment plan agreement that was signed and witnessed by Brittany at Pleasant plains that if the insurance pays more the dental office will refund the difference to my insurance company. I called Liberty mutual and Medicare who both said the dental office is responsible to handle the proper distributio... read more

I did not feel confident with Dr.Patel and when he was numbing my mouth he was working on the bottom and the whole top of my mouth was numb not the bottom and my eye wouldn’t close thankfully it would after the numbness wore off but my nerves still feel weird on the lest side and should have never been on the top

I spent over $7,000 for some work on my mouth in the fall. I hadn’t had a cleaning all year. When I go in for a cleaning they want to charge me $65 saying that they have done me a favor by covering $35 of that. You would think after seven grand and with insurance they wouldn’t ask you for more money. I will never go back to these guys again. And after all the work done they send me a bill for additional amount after I pay them $7000. And that has to be paid upfront or they won’t touch you. I understand you need money to run ... read more

Our office prides itself in providing the best customer service and care, that is why we are open until 8pm and Saturday's and are one of the only offices in the area that provides IV Sedation with restorative dental care. This used to be a place I’d recommend without hesitation. However, something has definitely changed. While we all understand that our current worldly situation is very different, it’s not hard to communicate with your customers. Heaven forbid, you try to get someone on the phone (note: if you really want to talk to someone, push the button for “new” customer). I am now convinced that the dentist I originally saw left for the same reasons I’m leaving. (Note: I was informed when she left that she wasn’t a good dentist - w... read more

Business response:

Rocky, We are sorry if the communication has been not up to our high standards recently. As you said, our world is certainly a different place this year due to the pandemic and all of the challenges it presents. Recently, we have had times where we have had staff members quarantine, not because anyone was sick, but from us following the guidelines given to us-i.e. even if there was a chance they were exposed to someone, we take the utmost precaution and quarantine them, as we always put health and safety first. At one po... read more

I had a filling done on Wednesday. I had a severe reaction to the multiple shots they kept giving me. Rather than letting the medicine take affect, they kept pumping me full of what the dr called “adrenaline”. He then said “you’re having a natural reaction to the medicine” . Well my fit bit monitored my “natural reaction” and my heart rate went way beyond what I’ve ever done cardio wise. I thought I’d die right then and there. My fillings are rough and seem very shoddy. I will never go back to Pleasant Plains. It was a ghost... read more

Something changed in this office since opening again. Very disorganized. I received different answers from different representatives. Unacceptable customer service! They do not meet your needs

Business response:

We apologize if there were any issues with our communications. Our office is going above and beyond the standards with our operations and scheduling for safety with COVID, which means we are doing text and phone checking in upon arrival and our schedule is a lot lighter to provide for social distancing and safety for our patients and staff. All patients are given text, email, and phone confirmations of their time of appointments. However, we always take ownership of any miscommunications and apologize and would be happy... read more

I visited Pleasant Plains for my 6 month cleaning. I spent over an hour there and did not even get a cleaning. I was told I needed to return at frequent intervals, have my mouth numbed, and get a deep gum cleaning. I was also told I had over 15 cavities. I had just had a cleaning 6 months prior at a different dentist so was keeping up with my visits and didn't have any gum problems and only had 1 cavity. I also am someone who never gets cavities and had my first just a year or so prior to this. I asked the dentist (Dr Ernst)... read more

Don’t know who I saw didn’t introduce himself. Didn’t do what I came in for instead very pushy trying to sell me things didn’t want or need. Wasted an hour of my life I will never get back. Will not return instead I’ll drive an hour to see my real dentist.
