Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital, the first veterinary specialty hospital east of The Triangle, was founded in spring 2015 by the Wilson, NC based organization Vets Pets. Since going 24 hours in Wilson in October 2019, two surgeons, a boarded veterinary criticalist, and three more emergency veterinarians have joined our team. Whether your pet has endured a traumatic bone fracture, a tear to a knee ligament, or a severe soft tissue wound, our hospital and team has the knowledge, specialty equipment, and skill to help your pet get on the road to recovery.

I truly can't say enough about Points East and their 'round the clock team. We were referred by Five Oaks in Kinston as our toy rat terrier had escaped her yard and was hit by a car on a Friday evening. When we got to Wilson the receptionists were so compassionate and immediately took our dog back to begin testing and observation. Under the watchful eye of Dr. Barron she was diagnosed and treatment began. My family felt so cared for and we could tell our dog was in excellent hands. The following morning Dr. Barth followed up with us and share some great information with us including how we would move forward. With our beloved family pet now at home recuperating we can't speak highly enough about Points East. They are complete and knowledgeable professionals!

A year ago, After a week of daily visits to other vets in the area I live in, I ended up a couple of hours away at Points East with my 12 year old poodle in hope of help for my 12 year old poodle who was in severe shape. It did not take Points East long to determine she had a ruptured gallbladder. They did surgery that had a 50% chance of her surviving the operation. Now a year later, Minnie Pearl is 13 and in excellent shape! Thank you to all at Points East for saving my baby❤️. I 100% recommended Points East!

I had to bring my senior lab in last night because of a small accident with his toenail getting ripped out. From the front desk staff to the veterinary technician to the veterinarian. everyone treated my lab so well. We were in and out in extremely reasonable time considering they're an emergency vet. I appreciate all of the compassion they showed my poor old man, he needed some help walking and the staff was right on top of it with a towel assist and got him moving with no problem.

just lost my bella today the compassionate care I received and the hospitality was amazing God bless all the drs vet techs etc at this hospital they are truly amazing and I will highly recommend them they are the most caring people ever and dependable

Absolutely amazing team of drs. Dr. Sassone and Dr. Pferdeort were wonderful to my family during one of the hardest times of my life. They both answered all of my questions and did everything they could to save my sweet fur baby. While I ended up making the hard decision to let my girl go, they showed so much compassion toward us. I just received a personal sympathy card in the mail from Dr. Sassone. This reassures me that my fur baby Pepper was in good hands.

I can’t say enough positive comments regarding this facility. The staff and Dr’s TRULY CARE! The communication is stellar and the medicine provided is exceptional. No one wants to go to the ER, but I’m darn sure happy when we have to, our community not only has this option, but a compassionate staff as well! Thank you to everyone!
