Cheap fix for coiling hose I purchased the Polaris 65 as a Father's Day gift for my husband. I'd seen where people had a problem with the hose coiling, so we laid it out straight for a week. Ours still continually coiled up. I then opened the pressure valve where it connects to the pool (I needed pliers the first time) and it helped -- but the hose still curled up after 20 minutes or so. wonderfull product read for proper instructions and be happy I love this cleaner just recieved it today and installed it. it works great cleaned the intire 24' pool in about 3 hours. it has been in the pool all day and have not had a problem with it yet but this was after adjusting it. others have reviewed this product as tangling and fliping upside down. yes at first this is what it would do . but if you adjust it right it will work. first of all make sure that you cut the hose to fit. stretch the hose to the furthest point... read more
A must read. The description is not complete. What you don't see is a float hose that has to be cut 4' from the furthest point in your pool. The surface module (shown) floats on top of the water. A sweep hose is attached to the bottom of the surface module (must be cut to 2 feet longer than the deepest part of your pool) and extends down to a jet sweep assembly that is pulled around the bottom of your pool by water emitting from the end of the hose. Adapter problems I'm still trying to figure out how to get the adapter to attach to my return line , the adapter that came with the unit is the same thread size where my discharge line is attached to the directional eyeball . Has anyone else had a problem like this????
