Works very well, not perfect, then again what is at this price range. Advantage: Works on the output side of you filter, so it does not stop your filter from cleaning at the same time it is doing it's thing :) Does not fill up your pool filter with leaves, but puts them in the bag, just as planned. For the price range it is in, works great! Down side to make note of, once you address these issues you are good to go. Awesome cleaner This is my first automatic cleaner after years of manual pole cleaning. I bought this in hopes it would work with my small SandPro 50 filter (only 1/2 hp). I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it started working once it was hooked up! The pump is a perfect match as long as your filter is clean. It started getting slow at one point and the inline filter had become clogged since the sand filter needed to be backwashed. Once both were cleaned, the unit went back to work at full speed. Love this vacuum To start off let me clarify that this is NOT a vacuum in the traditional sense of the word. It blows the dirt into a bag rather than sucking it out. Many people complained about this because they weren't expecting it. I think it adds so much more to it. Love my Mr. Polaris Love, love my Mr. Polaris. Better than spending time vacuuming the pool. Mr. Polaris is a replacement as I wore my other one out. After many years of service I started getting hairline cracks near the front nose which allowed water to enter and caused Mr Polaris to turn on his side. I am keeping all replacement parts from my old one in case I ever do need them. You won't regret your purchase.
Glorified net This unit is basically a glorified skimmer.. it doesn't vacuum anything. It attaches to the output of your pool filter and uses the water as jets to move around the unit that floats on the top of the water and also has jets on the skimmer at the bottom. I paid about $147 for this including shipping, and I would value it at about $75 since it doesn't actually vacuum anything. That being said, this unit DOES a very good job! A Clean Pool makes me happy Our last Polaris 65 lasted 8 years, the cost of replacement parts necessitated the purchase of this new one. It does what it's supposed to. Clean my pool while I sit on my butt doing nothing.
This works like a wonder! IMPORTANT: Lots of 1 star reviews because they said the "bag was missing" - that is not a fair review of the product itself. This would be a 4.5-5 star product without all those reviews. With that said...This thing works GREAT! pool cleaner I purchased this as a replacement for another polaris cleaner, so I know it does the job, however I was missing the net that sweeps up the debris, so I was fortunate to still have my old one..
