Very unhappy so far. I was given a rate in January and told that there are "occasional small increases," only to have my rate go up over 25% just 8 weeks later. I called and spoke with someone in customer service who said that she could offer me about $15 in savings per month, and that I would be contacted by the local office. I still have not been contacted.
Rented short term here and had a great experience. Staff is helpful, facility very secure, the process of renting it was streamlined and transparent. United come in different sizes for your needs. Highly recommend if you need something in the State College area.
The price keeps changing. I originally moved in for about $130 a month for an RV spot. It’s two months later I got a letter stating that they want to raise my rent to $220. Additionally, I’ve had to prove I have insurance on three separate occasions. Despite submitting the paperwork immediately, I keep getting threatened with an expensive low benefit coverage that they are trying to force on to my account.
I contacted them after my daughter was settled in her apartment. I was able to do everything over the phone without any problems! The female employee I spoke with was very helpful.
While they sufficed for my needs at the time, I wouldn't go with Prime Storage in the future. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Could NEVER get a hold of them (for over 2+ months!) and would always end up getting transferred to the call center that wasn't ever able to help with billing issues since 'it was up to the location'.
