I have been coming to Princeton Brain and Spine for a over a year to see Dr. Nirav Shah. This is one of the only places that really makes the patient feel like he is not a number! I can say this with confidence because I have been to many neurological specialists in New Jersey and PA. Dr.Shah and his awesome staff went above and beyond for me while trying to get my surgery approved with my insurance company who DOES see me as a number and a cost. Dr. Shah is the only doctor I have ever seen that makes my concerns feel validated. He never disregards my symptoms and my complaints and goes above and beyond to make sure I’m getting the proper treatment and care that’s appropriate and much needed. His bed side manner and friendly attitude is very comforting. 10/10 recommend!!!
Please get a second opinion before you let Dr. Shah perform surgery on you. 10 months after my surgery my pain is much worse, my leg is getting weaker. I have tried to talk to this office but they offer no options or solutions. I was told that I'm pretty much on my own.I certainly do not want another surgery but wanted help with what my options are if any. No help, no direction. Last time I went to see Dr. Shah I waited 2 hours to see him for a 2 minute visit.
Dr. Shah is the best. It all started one day when I couldn't tie my shoes. I thought it was because I was fat, and my belly got in the way, then the pain set in. Low and behold, my neck was shot. During a nice peaceful nap, this beautiful man reached in my neck, grabbed my spine, and fixed it with some kind of metal and stuff. It's even the expensive metal that won't have the TSA tackling you at the airport metal detectors. I am no longer stagnant and lost 10 pounds, which is like throwing a deck chair off the Queen Mary. Dr. Mazlin was great! Developed carpal tunnel out of the blue and he didn't just throw a script for PT and a wrist splint at me. He took the time to evaluate me and ask me questions about my health past and present. He was more thorough over Zoom than most doctors are in in-person visits. Will recommend him to others and I really appreciate him taking an interest in my case.
