Dr Desai listened to my concerns with lot of care and empathy and provided appropriate care since I went to her after a very bad experience from another doctor. She had charted out a clear path for my recovery and I am gradually feeling better and I am happy that I selected her as my care provider.
Dr.Desai has been managing my young daughter's medications for over two years. She has treated her Anxiety, ADHD, and Autism carefully and systematically. She checks in with her each time we do our virtual visits and asks us for input from her teachers and therapists. She also requires us to perform weight checks and any other necessary lab work. I had Dr Desai for two years. She regularly forgot basic facts about me (what I did for work, if I was married). Her office also regularly forgot to send my medication orders resulting in me eventually going weeks without medication. I switched providers after multiple bouts of this. I will never forget when I told her I went weeks without medication because of her office and her response was “maybe if you scheduled your appointments earlier you’d get your meds.” I was shocked and hurt. I was so disappointed in the visit with her and will not be going back. I feel some doctors want to give a child more medication instead of helping you figure out why the child is behaving the way they do. I can go to a regular doctor for that.
We are very frustrated as parents with her as a doctor. She has not made a serious diagnose and keeps having our child coming into see her every 2 month conditional to giving us his prescription. She has not done anything for us that the pediatrician wasn't already doing. The office is also very unfriendly.
