Public storage is “proceed at your own risk “. I’ve been using 2 of their storage units they make you get insurance for both. In the end, $2-5,000 coverage only pays out $250 for most common issues. Both units were climate controlled. One unit got mold in it at the clay rd location in Houston. This was of fault because of the system in the building. No help, no pay out. Public Storage has a documented reputation for providing inaccurate unit information, both online and via phone representatives. It has now been over two weeks since I filed a formal complaint regarding the gross misrepresentation of my rental that I paid for over the phone. Despite explicitly informing your staff of my impending knee replacement, I was assured my unit would have elevator access and be located near the lift. While they are the cheapest game in town. They offer little surcurty. I was broken into along with 6 others. No idea who it was. No cameras down the aisles. I'm not comfortable at night. Several homeless people living in the storage units. Nothing is being done. But when they want there money it's do or die. A $20 late fee. If your 3 days late. Then they tack on insurance even though it's worthless. My main concern us security. Cameras down the alse. What cod it cost a big company like them. $2,000.. a building.
