I had an excellent experience at Neighbors Emergency Center in Porter. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, compassionate, and professional. The nurses and doctor took the time to listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. I had to visit this emergency room recently for a laceration on my hip, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to take care of me. From the moment I arrived, nurses Marcie and Lynndsey were absolutely incredible... calm, attentive, and reassuring in a situation that was definitely stressful for me. I went in for SOB and dehydration due to vomiting and what I thought was an asthma attack. Turns out it was much more serious and I was transferred to Memorial Herman Downtown Med Center as results of the CT that was done that required emergency surgery. Thankfully the physician, Dr. Moore and the RN, Yolanda who went above and beyond to recognize symptoms and run test to cover all basis.
