I've seen Dr Parmar for five years and can say she is the best doctor I've ever had. She asks the right questions and carefully listens to you to identify signs of things you are not saying. She is very responsive, kind, and truly cares about her patients.
Dr. Parmar is empathetic, kind, and deeply listens to me during our appointments, so I feel like she really cares. She worked with me to prescribe me medication, and took my suggestions, and respected me when I said I didn't want to try certain things. She also looks beyond medication, and we discuss my life and what else I can do to manage my mental health. She takes her time and I don't feel rushed, so I'm able to trust her.
I'm shaking, I had to "break up" with her on our first visit. First off, she actually accused me of lying and not telling her everything..Why would I be paying for a psychiatrist just to lie about my symptoms?? Wouldn't believe me when I told her I wasn't lying. Will send you down a medication rabbit hole and then accuse you of being manic when you decide you would like to taper off meds. I’m now medication free and do not have any serious mental health concerns, so glad I got away from her.
There is no way to detail Dr. Parmar's complete lack of professionalism or worth as a Psychiatrist in 500 characters. Psychiatrist's medicate people with mental health issues who may have lied, abused or betrayed their families before seeking help - she doesn't seem to grasp this. Dr. Parmar is THE most biased and RUDE person I have met in years. She fully believed my BPD family member's lies covering domestic and child abuse then proceeded to prescribe a med she said she didn't think he needs?
