We had a great start with these guys, but the ending is sucking hardcore. We rented a unit which we told them we would need for only a shot period of time. The time period turned out to be 15 days. They are charging us 3 months rent. The theory? We signed the lease Aug. 18th, notified them on September 4th, and have to give 30 days notice. I will note we actually cleared the unit of a truck we sold on Sep. 2--- but once you are a renters they don't return calls, texts, and the magically disconnects.
(UPDATE) the facility is great, but there's sharp metal pieces in the gravel everywhere!!! Everytime I come by I easily find a handful around my unit. They were made aware in early March. It's nearly July and just picked up a bunch more. Great updates and new covered storage. Wonderful people to work with. Easy access through the app and plenty of space to navigate an RV.
RecNation is definitely a great place to store your RV/Boat. Very secure, easy access, no issues with any aspect of the experience. The staff went above and beyond in helping me with whatever I needed. I would highly recommend using RecNation as my future storage needs!!
I 1st engaged with REC NATION via the phone, and I spoke with Tom. Tom was a very cordial and helpful gentleman. The rental property, itself, is highly functional and it easily met my criteria for “safe” storage, but Tom is/was the asset whom made my engagement with REC NATION “comfortable”. Tom guided me to the right answers which made me realize that my recreational cache is safe and secure for a very reasonable price. Thank You Tom!
After two years, my monthly rent was increased by more than 50%. When I inquired about transferring or moving out, I was met with unhelpful responses and resistance. Ultimately, we decided to take our business elsewhere and won’t be returning. It's also worth noting that many of the glowing reviews seem to be incentivized—offered in exchange for a chance to win concert tickets. Be cautious and read between the lines.
