RecommendedI have been so grateful for my experience at Recovia Midtown so far. It’s been almost 6 months now, 2 months of active care and almost 4 months of supportive car and I can say it’s actually a very positive and calm environment compared to other IOP programs I have personally experienced in the past. RecommendedWhat an amazing environment geared towards healing. Through their program I was able to start breaking down patterns that had been creating barriers in my life for decades. I was there for substance use disorder/ Mental Health. That being said their participants are a very diverse crowd( which made groups very interesting). Recommendedi went to Recovia back in january! i had 2 back surgeries in 2 years and when i went i could t walk again! the pain was so bad i gave it a 10! i was ready to commit suicide due to the pain i had since nothing worked and i was on enough opioids to put down a horse! i also was diagnosed with aids in2013 and was told i didn’t have long! today is may 8th and i’m off opioids, and have been since january of this year! my cd4 count is above 300 for the first time in 6 years! and i can walk and do much more! thank you Dr Stewart... read more
I had an absolutely horrible experience with Recovia. 2 weeks into my program I was informed by my counselor that a staff member there is uncomfortable around me. Why?? Simply because I have tattoos and have been to prison. I wish I could tell you that there was more to our differences but that is it. I went there to get mental health help and I cannot get the proper help I need due to their judgement. I am not only hurt but am horrifically embarrassed. Made to feel second class.
