I bought my first unit at an online auction. The man I talked to was super cool and explained everything to me also sent me texts with instructions. They have been very accommodating as far as extending the time that I was given to finish clean out. We went to get some items out of our storage locker and somehow a very large racoon had gotten into the sealed storage locker and ruined the King size bed and a chair- and a small blanket chest. It died on the furniture. It had been there for awhile. Insurance does not cover rodent damage. Red Dot said I must have let it in, when, how? No food or water in locker. Crazy. Then they said by the way your rental fee is went up to 224.00 a month!!! OMG Looking to move out of there. No heat, no water, stuff not safe.
Unfortunately I do not recommend using this company. There was a time during the winter that the facility was not able to be accessed due to being ice covered. You could not gain any traction. I had to bring my own salt to access my property inside of my rental. When I called the company I was met with a rude individual and told they will notify management, it will be resolved in 48 hours….. While the units themselves are clean and affordable, actually being able to LEAVE the facility is the issue. We have been locked in 3 different times, because the button to leave the climate-controlled building does not work. Your call goes to a customer service line, not anyone on site that can let you out. So you have to wait for them to reach someone to open the door. This is a SAFETY issue! Where do I start: I’ve been charged for insurance fees of $9 when my insurance provider has repeatedly sent my insurance information, then I’m paid a month in advance and because of this scam insurance fee they shut my gate code off. I’ve called for days repeatedly to get insurance information onto my account. Then! I rented a second unit, and the common sense thing would be they combined accounts, nope!
