My experience at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital was deeply concerning and ultimately devastating. Initially, everything was going well with my recovery until I was transferred there. Upon arrival around 5 PM on Friday, I was told there were no doctors on staff due to the time of day, which immediately raised concerns. Encompass of Piedmont Hospital has some excellent therapists, both OT and PT. Some of the existing staff is excellent. However, there are serious problems with the nurses and doctors. That surprised me because Piedmont in general is excellent in both nursing and doctoring. I ran into many nurses who didn't speak English. On top of that, the ones I encountered didn't listen or care about patients as far as I could tell. The doctors had a strange way of not caring for individuals. My wife just got transferred to encompass five days ago and I have been here visiting ever since she first got to encompass hospital. I have had no trouble getting in until today. The security stopped me, although I appreciate them making sure any unwanted guest are not allowed. They were completely rude to me and treated me with extreme disrespect and racism.
