I put up with Ring Central for 3+ years before giving up on them and switching to Ooma. They charged me over $400 to quit the service thanks to their undocumented self-repeating contracts which they renew automatically without telling you they will, and without notifying you when they do. Call quality ranged from not very good to fairly good. There is significant lag time between when you speak and when the person at the other end hears you, and phone calls are prone to staticky sounds and dropouts. Don't bother complaining ... read more

Ring Central Client for over 8 years! 3 weeks ago they disabled our numbers for "sms abuse". No one explained to us that there was a limit on texting for the plan we were on. Furthermore no one explained the new required TCR FORM!!! They disabled our phone numbers AND SMS capability! Effectively making our business unable to operate. Our account Manager with RC couldn't even reach the "fraud department". Have made numerous calls, get voicemail. NO RESPONSE, just runaround! This is such a nightmare. As others state, their customer service is so poor that it really doesn't matter whether the phone functionality itself is good or bad, which so far it does appear to be good. Their approach is night and day from before you sign up to after. Beforehand its super easy to talk to a sales rep by phone and they are informative and answer questions. I started with them they told me 30 days trial I contacted them multiple times telling them. I would like not to go forward but no one got back to me now. They're trying to build me for a whole year going forward saying it's too late to cancel. I told them that I could show them the emails they say they don't care

Cant get customer service to cancel my account, they charged me even though I canceled my trial within a few days of starting. Worst customer service and unreliable software.

I'm sharing my experience with RingCentral here. I am a small business owner and I signed up for a year contract in December after the sales person assured me that I could use RingCentral to text my clients. It is now mid-February and RingCentral has still not turned on my SMS capabilities. I did everything they asked including filling out a TCR form in mid January. Worst customer service and dishonest business practice!! Wish I could leave no stars!As others have stated, the actual functionality of the service worked fine. **************** is horrible and shady dishonest business practice. I have been a RingCentral customer for 12+ years. I have tried for the past 2 months to add 2 lines to my service and I cannot get anyone to address my requests. CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS at **********************! I have been paying for the 2 additional lines but cannot use them, and no one will return my calls to address this. I am seeking alternatives for my service.
