Amazing start to finish! Clean, so fun for kids. I was able to relax and watch my littles have the time of their lives. For parents: bathrooms on the train, coloring books, board games, booths, train moves slow enough for walking around and exploring. Food options were great! We will be going back!
Had a fantastic time on the rail bikes on Jan 2. The weather was gorgeous, staff polite and helpful. We expected to get a workout but didn't realize just how fast the bikes would go! We were a little under dressed and gloves would have been helpful but we still had so much fun. My kids (10 and 6) loved it too. I’ve always wanted to try one of these, and River Fox Train Rail Bike made it easy. It’s a short drive from Sacramento to their station. Bring your own helmet if you don’t want to wear their goofy orange ones. :) It’s a guided tour, so the have an employee in the front and the back. You go at your own pace, but each Rail Bike also has an electric assist, so anyone can manage this short ride. My parents purchased 22 tickets for her children and grandchildren to come and experience the Christmas Magical train ride this year, and we had a fantastic time! We were greeted by all the staff on the train as we made our way over to the Snowman cab. We had a total of 8 tables and each person was given hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies. Such a great time, choose your own speed to pedal or use the power option. Guides will stop traffic twice on the round trip and they even include chips and water as a snack. 10 mile trip takes about 1 hour
