Went out looking for dinner and found this tavern. Good selection of food available. The kids had the pizza and cheeburger, portion size was great for them. I have the River Road Burger and it was very enjoyable. Nice bbq sauce with fresh salad. Meat was well cooked and not dry. Had some live music, meat raffle and live sports on multiple TV's. Service is top notched. Good atmosphere. But steak was very disappointing. Both medium rare steak were overcooked. The potato wedges were good i guessed you can't go wrong with deep fried food. Might have to try something else next time to see if the other mains are any good.

There’s a lot of room for improvement. 1. There was no door host to attend to seating arrangements despite a confirmed booking for dinner. 2. We found our table by ourselves without any greeting. 3. Service was confusing. Had to ask for menus. 4. To order food, individuals need to line up left of the bar and wait to order and pay for meals. This clogs up the entire bar area unnecessarily. The new local! First time we came, the kitchen was closed which is really unfortunate. I hope in the near future they change these “kitchen closing times”, perhaps even just offer sides and small dishes during these down periods. We only stayed for 20 minutes (one drink) due to the kitchen being closed. We struggled to find a table inside (NRL game was playing) so I definitely think having the kitchen opened would have bought in a lot more income for the business too. Popped in on Tuesday evening for a meal and Wow, what a refreshing change, to actually be greeted and served by a fantastic young waitress, with tons of personality! Great selection of cold beers and a decent wine list that was well explained to us. Food was pretty good, steak was supposed to be rare but was more towards medium, tasted pretty good but, so wasn't worth making a fuss. Good work team! Will definitely be back. Pass on my thanks to our waitress Lily? 10/10.
