Went out looking for dinner and found this tavern. Good selection of food available. The kids had the pizza and cheeburger, portion size was great for them. I have the River Road Burger and it was very enjoyable. Nice bbq sauce with fresh salad. Meat was well cooked and not dry. Had some live music, meat raffle and live sports on multiple TV's. Lovely lunch today! Very quick service! Rissoles were deeelicious and so were the wedges! Staff were quick and worked with a smile! Definitely will be returning again! 5 stars!
Service is top notched. Good atmosphere. But steak was very disappointing. Both medium rare steak were overcooked. The potato wedges were good i guessed you can't go wrong with deep fried food. Might have to try something else next time to see if the other mains are any good.
The new local! First time we came, the kitchen was closed which is really unfortunate. I hope in the near future they change these “kitchen closing times”, perhaps even just offer sides and small dishes during these down periods. We only stayed for 20 minutes (one drink) due to the kitchen being closed. We struggled to find a table inside (NRL game was playing) so I definitely think having the kitchen opened would have bought in a lot more income for the business too. Came in for a beer and lunch on Saturday with my wife being its so close to home and our first time. Staff are amazing and nice so thanks guys. Food was unfortunately shit I'm sorry to say, brisket burger meat was stone cold and had no flavour being it only had a small amount of bbq sauce on the top of the bun not the actual beef where it should have been.
