The dentist that came in to check my teeth today was very cut and dry and did not engage with me at all like I normally experience in the office. It felt very businesslike and not very personal. My hygienist was good and communicated really well with me in regards to what she was doing and what she needed from me. But not super chatty or interested in talking with me much. Not bad, just a little different than normal.
Riverstone Dental is a pleasurable experience when it comes to dentistry. I am a new patient and these are aspects I have noticed. This is a professionally run office. All of the employees I have dealt with are genuinely happy to be working there. I have never felt any pressure to be up sold on dental work that I may not need. I'm told of my dental needs and then given the options available. The pros and cons of each procedure are explained to me in a matter of fact way. My experience today at Riverstone Dental was excellent. I experienced a new Dr Nelson and it was very good. He was very thorough and explained to me in layman’s terms everything. I will be glad to return to him in 6 months.
Hygienist did a good job, was friendly and efficient. The dentist himself was friendly. That is where the positive experience ended. Arrived 10 minutes early and then proceeded to wait for 30-35 minutes to be called back. As I sat, I watched a patient get rescheduled for being 15-20 minutes late, yet the office was 25 minutes late to call me. In addition, 4-5 people arrived after me & were promptly taken back. After years of fear and neglect and having undeniable dental problems, I was finally in a place in life where it could no longer be ignored, and had to get something done. With the extent of work that needed to be done, I was referred to Dr. Ditto and his excellent staff.
