My wife saw Dr. Flanigan on a not-quite-emergency basis for her gallbladder. Saw him Friday, surgery Monday. He was great, explained well what was going on (gallstones), described the operation, pointed out that she could try alternative treatments but that then she'd probably end up in the ER like many men with gallstones because "men are stupid" and try to tough it out. Unfortunately, I believe he retired in 2008.
