Excellent physician. He is a doctor that you can talk to. He was the third opinion and the only one that would talk to me rather than down to me. He performed a microdiscectomy with excellent results. Solved my drop foot issues. Surgery was 20 months ago.
Dr. Nolan spent about an hour with me, patiently explaining the pros and cons of cervical spine surgery. He was knowledgeable, thorough and caring. I would highly recommend him. He is professional and obviously highly competent.
Awesome Surgeon. Tough to get into. He did my L5S1, cadaver bone and titanium and he did such a careful and professional job, I am relieved in both nerve compression and djd pain there, still healing. Dr Nolan basically saved my life. I won’t get into details, but I trust every word he says to me and he takes time to hear me and assess if surgery was the proper thing for me, I had 2 previous procedures that didn’t work, so I’m happy I had the ALIF. Thanks, Dr Nolan, and staff, for treating me important.
Dr.Nolan was excellent. Even though I wasn't happy and scared of what the outcome was going to be. He was straight forward and explained everything that was going on with me. Thank you Dr.Nolan for showing compassion and Patience with me.

My wife had neck surgery with him. Never saw him after that. Severe pain and many issues since surgery and Dr Nolan is no where to be found. He shouldn’t be practicing. Before surgery all compassionate after surgery your on your own. The staff pawns you off to the emergency room. You will never get to see or have an appt with him after surgery. Terrible. He abandons you after surgery. You’re like a cow in a pasture to him. A quick moneymaker, then he never wants to set eyes on you, or any paperwork having to do with you, Ever again. I’m out of work with zero income because he refuses to comment on my back surgeries he’s performed. Yup, no comment from him. After following up with him, specifically, and telling him that I have excruciating pain in my back, no comment. He cares nothing about you.
The info on this dr is misleading. Says he specializes in spinal stenosis ??? Well, if so,WHY did his assistant....WADE....(with his cocky attitude and answering his cell everytime it rang! ) said this isnt who we want to see! My husband has spinal stenosis! What kind of idiot? And we never even got to see dr Nolan! Totally insenstive! Maybe if he would've stopped answering his phone & listenedBrought my husband to tears, I know more about the spine than this jerk did! I would NEVER recommend
Dr. Nolan performed neck surgery 2 years ago, and I had no issues. He seemed very caring and knowledgeable. Recently, I took a severe fall and fractured my neck. The hospital emergency room released me with a hard cervical brace and advised to see my orthopedic surgeon. The staff was not helpful with timely scheduling, so I requested that Dr. Nolan talk with me on the phone; however, his assistant told me if I had further concerns to go back to the emergency room!
