I’ve been to Sabino Recovery (SR) twice now. My first time Jan-Feb was a like altering experience focused on the childhood trauma I had never acknowledged or was aware of. Knowing all of that helped me understand some of my activities such as collecting large amounts of “stuff”, whether things or when food shopping. I returned to SR to further understand and change behaviors as a second act. My intention is not to leave a review about Sabino Canyon Recovery Center based on my positive, negative, or neutral experiences. Given the nature of this business, I was unsure whether writing a review was worthwhile. Here is an honest evaluation from the perspective of someone who genuinely just needed the world to be silent for a bit so that she could shut out the noise and learn what healing looks like. What an incredible place!!! I was living with trauma for 50 years which got to the point of my anxiety and depression taking over my life. It was the most difficult decision of my life but the most important. I left in in July 2014 after 35 days and my life is so different now, all for the better. The staff is so caring and loving from the Therapists to the BHT's (Behavioral Health Technicians), the Nursing staff, etc. On my first full day it seemed like everyone on the staff knew my name and welcomed me with open arms.... read more

Sabino is likely an excellent facility for treatment involving behavioral change. Special shout out to Shara and Angel for being lovely to work with. That said, and without disclosing patient details, their medical team is not equipped to handle complex mental health patients, their sales team is a bit too optimistic in their overpromising, and their admissions team is too lax in patient admittance protocols. (Direct feedback was shared and was well accepted regarding this, but I do feel public disclosure is warranted also... read more
