My son and I were in town from Portland Maine for a tour at UNCSA, and ate at Salt and Sage Bistro. It was the last day of February but it was pretty warm. Tonight we did my birthday dinner at salt and sage. We chose the bar top seating option to have a view of kitchen and cooks. Douglas was an amazing server ( on top of water refills and food suggestions) We started out with oysters Rockefeller and then the Pan Seared Scottish Salmon entrée followed by the rice pudding brûlée. Everything was cooked to perfection. Then we received a tasting of scallop and risotto which was an amazing treat! Highly recommend for a nice dinner out!
I was excited to try Sage & Salt; I'd heard good things and loved Willow when it was in the space. The internal updates are cool, with neat booths and a huge wine collection. The menu is well composed with a lot of variety to please just about anyone. The service was prompt, courteous, and responsive. This place is hands-down amazing the atmosphere is very open and classy. They have a bar area as well. It's cute. The service is wonderful. There are on top of their service. We got the lump crab and artichoke dip, a Caesar salad and some oysters Rockefeller and the flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce. The food is amazing. It can be a little pricey, but it is definitely worth it and they have everything from steak, soup, seafood, salad, and much more.
Winston Salems highest quality restaurant. Service is amazing management is fantastic. Food is as good as it gets.
Had a Valentine's date tonight and the kitchen got a little backed up. We had to wait for our entrees, but both the server and manager were very apologetic. The manager comped iur meal because of the wait. When the food is excellent and the staff act with such integrity, definitely a place we will return to eat again! (I highly recommend the yellow fin tuna with roasted vegetables!)
The service was great and the food was fine but nothing exceptional to justify the price.
We got seated at the bar at The Station and the ambiance was perfect! Live jazz and a beautiful bar = the ideal date night. Heavy apps and drinks are usually our go to and we were very happy with our choices. Can't wait to come back for the oyster nights.
Tried this for the first time the other night! We sat at the bar! Doug was amazing!! Food was great! Drinks were great! Service amazing!! Atmosphere was nice! Definitely will be back!!!
