I've had 2 heart surgeries here an still use this hospital for everything today. The staff is great, and is always very clean. The only thing I can honestly say bad is that the waiting time can get very long at times. I would highly recommend this hospital.
On July 23rd 2025 my husband fell off a boat.. He broke or fractured his ribs and punched his lung... he developed an infection in a wound he got falling off the boat.. this was the size of a quarter.. my brother in law said it was a blood blister.. so no idea how it opened ....the first time I saw it he was bleeding pretty good...I brought it to the nurses attention and the wound care came in and took care of it...he was the sent to the 3rd floor for critical care Now if he was brought down for specialcare ...why would the... read more
I spent four hours in the ER this morning where I received excellent care. The new ER system of seeing patients is fabulous as are the medical team of Dr. Weston, nurse Jenny and nurse Kelsie, along with nurse Kasia. I received prompt care, and left with a definite diagnosis and meds to treat me. Thank you to all the healthcare workers I encountered today. I appreciate all of you.
I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Saint Joe Hospital’s emergency department. My child is only 15 months old, and no parent should feel dismissed when seeking urgent care for a toddler. Before arriving at the hospital, I took my daughter to Med Point where her fever was 104°F. They told me she was significantly dehydrated and would likely need IV fluids. I had great experiences while my dad was in the hospital on floor 6. The entire nursing staff was fantastic, but I had more interaction with the CNA’s. Tyria, Alexis, and Hallie were exceptionally kind and caring with my dad. They went above and beyond to make him feel safe and comfortable. It was obvious that they truly love what they do and care about their patients. I cannot begin to express my appreciation.
