Ms. Alston is a great pnp. She always checks to see how my medicine is making me feel and whether the dosages need to be adjusted. And yes she may be a little late on occasion, but never outside of 5 minutes past the appointment time. Couldn’t be happier!
Sakina is awesome! We’ve experienced a few different people in the past and I must say, this is the first time I feel hopeful. I can tell she really wants to get to the root of my daughter’s issues. She also suggests foods and exercises for my daughter as well. She genuinely cares and that means a lot to us!!
I am disappointed with this provider and her company. I had been seeing Sakina for over a year. Her personality and brute-ness were not my cup of tea but she would show up (albeit late) and prescribe my meds so I was satisfied enough. Following my June appointment I scheduled for September. She asked to move that to December so I said no problem. On the day of the December appointment I waited 17 minutes without her showing. I had two appointments with Sakina, one where she showed up 10 minutes late and another where she was over 15 minutes late, both with no message, call, or apology after the fact. I ended up dropping off before she showed up for the second appt (which Lifestance is refusing to refund me for), and her excuse for our first session was that she forgot about our appointment.... weird way to make people, who are coming to you because of poor mental health, feel valued and cared for. Very unprofessional.
Sakina is the best! She's always on time for her appointments. She's very easy to talk to. When I came to her I was in some pretty strong psychiatric drugs. I was numb. Sakina saw this and helped me titrate off the drugs onto drugs they didn't numb me to the world. We found, be working together, the right drug combination to keep my disorder in control without me sleeping through my life like a zombie.
