Having been to Saltlik many times before, my sisters(from out of town) and I planned to go to this restaurant weeks in advance, and requested a nice booth "at the back" of the restaurant. This would have provided a quiet and cozy atmosphere where we could talk. The food has always been spectacular as well. On Saturday, I was surprised when we were brought to our table (barely in the front door). The booth was too small for 4, so one person had to sit on a chair. Great food; slow service. Food was not delivered together and the wait for drinks and refills was excruciating. We would have ordered a bottle of wine with dinner but our pre-dinner drinks came just before our meal. Worst of it was the waiter blaming a busy bar when we could see the bar staff sitting back chatting.
It was my first time dining at Saltlik and I was VERY impressed with the flavour and quality of my Petit Filet. The sides were excellent, service was great. I found the place a bit noisy but that's acceptable. With the prices being as high as they are I wouldn't be dining there too often but definitely would go back.
I've been to Saltlik a couple of other times and really liked it. I had a friend in town who I wanted to impress - it was really lovely and yes, my friend was impressed.
Wonderful restaurant - will be back. Great food, service and ambience. Desserts are to die for!
