Saltlik was everything you expect from a reportedly good restaurant. Good friendly service. Well timed food delivery. Good food. I'm not a steak eater which is a disadvantage in a steakhouse but my friends from England are and they loved it. Coincidentally I picked the restaurant only to find that other friends from England had recommended that if they were going to Calgary they really must eat there. It was a really nice evening.
We received very good and attentive service during our dinner, but the food was decidedly average. The steaks seemed to lack in flavor, other than the steak spice on it, and the baked potato that came with it was uninspiring. I would certainly go back for a business lunch, but would think twice about taking my spouse for a nice dinner out.
The process to make changes to the reservation was very easy. We were a total of 20 minutes early and they were still able to accommodate us. Thank you!
Great service! Delicious drinks and dessert. The garlic toast was fabulous. My dad said, "Of all the steak houses I've been to and steaks I've had, this was by far the best ever." Thanks!
Food was good and the beer selection was fine but I was hoping to have a few more options for cocktails. They had a few and I'm sure they could have made the standards but I was looking for a bellini and I was told they don't have iced cocktails.
Excellent beef! Our food came quickly on a Saturday night. They did not charge to re-cork our wine bottle to take home.
My dining partner didn't realize the dish she had ordered was tomato based, which doesn't agree with her. The server offered to give her another entre, at no charge. This was so nice as the server/restaurant wanted her to have an enjoyable dining experience, which she did. Thank you!
We went for Calgary's Big Taste experience and had the fixed menu; it didn't disappoint. The restaurant was nicely furnished and comfortable and the service was excellent. The homemade Moroccan chicken soup was nicely spiced and very delicious. My wife had the Atlantic salmon and I had the braised beef ribs. Both were well presented and deliciously prepared. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding which we both thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely return and select other menu items.
