Went in for a Biopsy on Friday, and the staff was absolutely WONDERFUL! If you need something explained - get Kim Bowman! She is such a comfort, and Dr. Warheit was great at his job and had a nice bedside manner as well. Couldn't have asked for better treatment in such a scary situation.
I love St. Mary's Hospital! It is close to home and I always have a positive experience when I go there (and I have been in various units of the hospital.) I went in for a lumbar puncture and the doctor who performed the procedure was absolutely wonderful. He was funny, tried his best to ease my nerves and was successful! Post procedure staff was also kind and accommodating while having to stay in the hospital for 3 hours after the procedure. This was a particularly pleasant experience I will always remember! I just had a remarkable experience with a call to St. Mary's Hospital. I had been frustrated after getting my COVID vaccine there in February and applying for an Excelsior Pass to find that it had expired. When I contacted the State, they directed me to apply for a new pass, and when I did, they said they couldn't verify my identity. In frustration, I called St. Mary's to see if they could help me. My son was born at St. Mary's 11 yrs ago and we had a great experience, so when I had an emergency of my own this morning I went into their ER department and was greeted by a woman at the window who immediately started helping me and got me to the next room quickly. The nurse that I saw and Dr. Holterman were courteous, professional and made my visit there very comfortable.
