Jimmy Kim did an exceptional job by lowering my interest rate down to 5.00%. Rocket Mortgage offered 4.99%. Management seemed to intervene, and points were added that he had no control over. As soon as my credit was run by PennyMac I received over 50 calls from competing companies. If not for Jimmy's initial dealing IU would have chosen Rocket Mortgage due to their lower administrative costs. Sandra Benavidez came along and ensured the deal closed promptly.

These comments apply to PennyMac as a service provider as a whole. I had a great experience with my loan officer and the loan success team, I had some frustrating experiences with the amount of documentation requests I received. They would often come a day or two apart and I felt like the process was just dragging out because there would be a new request every few days in addition to the bulk of requests that came up front.
