I went in because of a concern over a bug bite, worried it might be a tic bite. The NP looked at it, said it appeared to be nothing, that she wasn't going to bother prescribing any antibiotics and just to come back if it still concerned me after a couple of weeks. She did not even ask about any other possible symptoms, which if she and I had known could be an indicator we might have proceeded differently. The doctor and nurses are great when you're there in person. However, the follow up is not on time, the specialty pharmacy keeps sending me emails saying they're trying to contact the doctor for follow up paperwork getting no response, the waiting after being on time is dreadful, the receptionists and billing person are not polite, not even a good afternoon or a smile. The overall service could use an overhaul.
First, both physician assistants (Canandaigua and Rochester offices) are nice and seem competent; the doctor in Cndga was the only one of FIVE providers I had seen who correctly diagnosed a (simple?) antibiotic reaction. The single star is for their office staff and BILLING dept. I was ill, called after the missed appointment, and wrote an apology letter - STILL to be billed $50 for a no-show appointment. This location lied to me after my appointment saying they don't take my insurance even though I asked ahead of time multiple times. So now I owe a crap ton of money for no reason Smh And the receptionists are horrible and stuck up
