Don’t go if your boy has long shaggy hair and u just want a trim I will show my before and after and I wanted a trim same shape and they butchered it probably just got wrong lady I said trim keep length and she just kept cutting saying she layering it ! I paid but maybe I shouldn’t have this is unsatisfying! Also 29$!!! The ONLY place to bring your child for a haircut in Cypress is here. Sharkey's caters strictly to the young set and makes the salon experience so much fun. Nydia did an excellent job cutting and styling my 6-year old granddaughter's hair. She even threw in a little manicure! The prices are terrific too.
Nydia was so sweet and patient with my daughter. You can truly tell she loves what she does and is wonderful at it. She was so kind to my daughter especially since she was a little nervous to start out. Veronica cut my 2 year old son’s hair and was amazing and patient. He was fussy and she worked with us to figure out how to get the haircut done. She never once got frazzled and was so sweet and patient with him. Great place to take your kids. My son (5) doesn’t like getting his hair cut, hates the clippers especially. I ended up doing it myself at home and it always ended in tears. But with the special chairs and getting to watch his favorite show, he got a great cut in only 15 mins with no problems. Sharkeys may just have made haircuts fun for him. I would give five stars but he actually had a really bad experience here when he was younger. (That’s another story, but after this great experience we will be coming back.)
I love Sharkeys Cypress. Please don’t take this review as a reason not to take your child. Nydia and the owner have always been great, very caring for my baby. Last time, Nydia wasn’t available and booked w Jackie. That was a mistake. My 11 mo was having a very hard time, crying and clinging to my body and Jackie showed next to zero empathy.
