He performed a wrist orif surgery on me 5 weeks ago today. I’ve been having complications and they cancelled my 6 week appointment and requested I come in a week early. I obliged happily to finally be heard. Then they called and cancelled due to a surgery. Which I understand but they rescheduled it again for the 6 weeks check up at a time that I simply can not due because my son has an IEP meeting and I have to pick my kids up from school. Fortunately for him, he’s dealing with my husband and not me. He annotated on medical notes that he performed an exam which he did NOT. In orthopedics, certain exams must be done to come to a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. A medical note is a legal document, so lying on one begs to question what else would he be doing (or not doing) in the treatment process. I had double knee surgery. I noticed a difference in the feeling in my legs immediately on waking. The doctor had twisted an artery during surgery, but couldn't be bothered to figure out the problem. I ended up having to be flown to a Des Moines facility for a fasciotomy (look it up, not a fun surgery!) to save my leg. Upon my return to his facility, his only reaction to my predicament, "that's going you be an ugly scar."
