One could say I'm a bit of a dentophobist. The dentist chair is not somewhere I'm comfortable which is why I'm so appreciative of the consideration and care I receive during my dental visits to the Provencher dental office. I've had quite a bit of work done over the past year, of course the work is great, but it's the professionalism and care of the team that really makes Shine stand out. Sadly, I would not recommend shine dental anymore. I've been a client here for 10 years and I've watched the quality of care decline over the past three years. They have had a lot of staff turn over and the new hygienists are not well trained and are sloppy. I recently needed a filling, and one of the new hygienists clamped my frozen gum during a filling (it's not supposed to be clamped) and this morning there's a spot of dead gum which was directly squeezed by the clamp. I came to shine dental today as a new patient after years of not going to the dentist… I have been spending some time focusing on improving my health and habits, and going back to the dentist is of course, one of those steps. Dr Saniya is AMAZING. Her and her team were professional, they were thorough and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, as I was nervous under the circumstances. Great experience, friendly staff. I made an appointment to remove amalgam fillings that were bothering me. I live 3.5 hours away so they booked me for extra time and got the procedure done in one trip. It was surprisingly painless for me and honestly the best dental experience ive had requiring drilling in teeth. Professional and informative in explaining options and operations . Seeing the 3d molding technology at work to create a mold was also interesting.
