Not a good place if you got bigger items. They don't have enough trollies to move gods. The hallways are quite tight n lift is not big enough compared to the Farnborough one. You are 10 times better off using Farnborough one. This makes you buy their locks 🔒 as they got a special way of locking the doors. We find it difficult to move a 2 seater sofa through the hallways. Initially great impression with Shurgard in how easy it was to set up my account and the hand holding process etc. Got to the site and there were no trollies to move any of my large pieces of furniture, meaning that I had to do this all by hand. When I vacated my unit and gave them notice, they terminated my contract with written confirmation and still continued to charge my direct debit and are claiming this is hidden in T&Cs. Arranging a transfer to a new unit was quick and easy and Carol was very helpful in showing me the unit size. Paperwork was completed quickly and all set to move in a few days.
From start to finish, dealing with Shurgard has been a pleasure. Talking to Richard, he was so helpful and made me feel at ease. So thank you. The staff were my storage unit is at are just as nice and make me laugh always. Lovely company thank you.
David, Richard & Kieran’s customer service has been 10/10. So helpful and polite. The whole process ran so smoothly thanks to them. A BIG thank you! I have knocked a star off for the experience I’ve had both times I had to contact the call centre. Not very knowledgeable and I felt like I was an inconvenience to them.
