Updated: Customer service has responded and fixed the problem. I cancelled my storage on 23/3 and left it empty, cleaned and unlocked. Shurgard confirms the day after the agreement expired (i.e. that I immediately lost access to the facility), but that because the cancellation took place less than 15 days before the end of the month, I will still be forced to pay rent for the entire month of April (i.e. despite the fact that I no longer have access to either the facility or the storage, and regardless of whether Shurgard is... read more
