This is my first time renting a unit so I was a bit clueless about the whole procedure. I completed all the rental paperwork online (super easy and had great offers too compared to other competitors) and I arrived to move my stuff at out of office hours. A couple of months ago, I decided to take up a contract with Shurgard Wokingham to store some personal belongings. Initially, everything seemed fine the rates were reasonable and the process was straightforward. However, after only a short period, the rates almost doubled, which made me decide to move out. Kieran was very helpful and personable with good knowledge of the Shurgard services/offers. He was able to show us a variety of units so that we could find the best for us. He was then able to give us a detailed rundown of costs and future options.
The ease of booking online with a selection of sizes, insurances and whether a lock was required couldn't have been easier. Arriving at the site, using the app made everything so easy to access the compound and use the lifts. The lock was in the storage room ready for us and nothing was too difficult. Well insulated areas so we know nothing will get damaged due to damp. Very happy with the ecperience
I haven’t enjoyed my experience with Shurgard, they advertise miss selling ‘first month for £1’ but in fact it cost £59 inc ins and lock. I am not a techie person and found reading instructions on phone extremely difficult I miss heard the the floor my unit was on so took 10 minutes to get lift to work. When trying to leave lift, the trolleys are hard to manoeuvre so door kept shutting.
